1. We could not get Heavy Seas to host the Guild holiday party in December due to their 30th anniversary party being the same evening, so we will have it on Saturday January 31, 2026 at Heavy Seas. 2. The CRABS theme for the Guild holiday party will be “creepy carnival”. Let’s brainstorm some ideas.

October 2025

1. Several newcomers were in attendance.

2. Homebrew Extravaganza was a success, with 28 entries, more than twice as many as last year.

3. Crabs4CRABS was a great event as always.

September 2025

1. The Katie’s Bridge to Independence event was a success. There were over 100 attendees, 15 beers on tap, and lots of beef, ham, turkey, and pork. This was the last of these events. The very large 12-tap kegerator is up for grabs. Speak up if you’d like to take it.

2. Anil hosted another great beer tasting a few weeks ago, and plans to host more in the future.

August 2025

1. MASHOUT was a lot of fun as usual. There were 80+ attendees and many fun events such as a food-beer pairing, Sour Hour, Stout Out, Mead+Cider Hour, brats+fries dinner, the CRABS food event, and a live band. CRABS had 15 kegs on tap, some of which kicked.

July 2025

1. Last month’s clone competition meeting at Sapwood Cellars went well. We might make this a yearly event.

1. We met at Sapwood Cellars. We didn’t conduct business so most of the notes are from last month.

May 2025

1. The CRABS food+beer pairing was a success, with 8 food+beer pairings and great weather.

2. Big Brew was also a success despite a lighter than usual turnout, with great weather and several folks brewing.

3. The Guild summer picnic will be on Saturday June 7, noon-dusk, at Patapsco Valley State Park, Hollofield area, shelter #300. There will be a hedonistic homebrew contest.

March 2025

1. There will be a walking tour of Pigtown on Saturday April 5, led by beer historian Maureen O’Prey. Stops will include M8, Checkerspot, Pickett, and Wico Street. More info at https://brewedinmaryland.com/events/

2. John Bugert won Black Flag’s homebrew contest with a Belgian quad. It will be on tap on Friday March 7. We’ll have a CRABS happy hour then. John has 10 tickets for free beers.
